MORRISON HONORED ON “HER DAY” AND BEYOND

MORRISON
Toni Morrison is considered one of America’s literary giants
of the past 50 years. The Nobel, Pulitzer, and Presidential Medal of Honor recipient was a Lorain native and graduate of Lorain High School.
Morrison died last August and is being honored with a special day of remembrance in February (her birthday, February 18th). Her early life included working at the Lorain Public Library.

On this edition of “Dialogues on Education,” program host Kinton explains how they are able to grab the students’ attention with an interactive high energy program using current popular music and other techniques to best achieve educational goals.

Avon and Avon Lake have emerged as the two top teams, each having taken on al comers and emerged victorious. Avon Lake last won in 2005, its second time to take top honors. Dr. Brian Posler is the 12th president of Lake Erie College in Painesville, Ohio, a position he assumed in 2016. It’s an institution that has existed from before the Civil War and is considered a “Hidden Gem” among small colleges in Ohio.
