Newly legalized Sports Gambling in Ohio and its effects on our youth is the focus of this interview. Scott Anderson is a Specialist with the state-sponsored “Ohio for Responsible Gambling.” He outlines the growing issue of young people developing bad gambling habits, particularly with the advent of sports gaming via apps and cellphones. 6.5% of 14 to 21-year-olds are now at risk for problem gambling. He describes signs of risk and what parents and educators can do to help keep their children avoid falling victim to this growing problem.
