When a faculty member at Amherst’s Marion L. Steele High School, David was advisor to the academic teams, preparing them for numerous competitions including Scholastic Games. He is now manager of the observatory at Oberlin College. We asked him to recall his experiences as an academic coach. Since this interview aired in 2020, he has become president of the Board of Directors of Standout Production Group, the newly formed nonprofit organization producing the Scholastic Games broadcasts.
