The teams are from Avon High School, in one of Ohio’s fastest-growing communities, and Elyria Catholic, the largest parochial high school in Lorain county. Avon’s team includes, pictured left to right, Nicholas Stamatis, P. J. Yug, and captain Mattthew Downing. The team from Elyria Catholic consists of, continuing left to right, captain Connor Sisson, Gabriel Nagrant, and Owen Volney. This is a playoff of two previous winning teams. As they did not achieve the highest scores, only the winner of this competition advances to the quarterfinals in pursuit of our county championship.
