The Covid-19 pandemic and its effect on the mental health of Lorain County students, kindergarten through High school, is discussed with Tonya Birney. She is the Dissemination and Implementation Officer for Prevention Services at the Mental Health Addiction and Recovery Services Board of Lorain County. A licensed Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor and Consultant, Tonya explains the programs that are now being administered by several school districts to assist students and their families in coping with issues that have arisen due to the isolation created by the pandemic.
